A stray bullet tore the ear off a Brooklyn woman celebrating her fiancé’s birthday, with the gunshot interrupting revelers as they serenaded the guest of honor outside his apartment.

The 43-year-old fiancé recalled hearing shouts from down the block Wednesday night before the bullet dropped his beloved Caridad Nieves to the street, reducing the celebration to instant chaos.

“We came out, and they sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to surprise me and s—- just broke out like that,” the man told the Daily News on Friday, declining to share his name. “It came out of nowhere — boom!”

The shooting of the 42-year-old woman occurred just before 10 p.m. at the corner of Atkins and Sutter Aves. in East New York, according to cops.

The woman remained hospitalized in stable condition Friday from the gunshot fired about 700 feet away in an unrelated dispute.

The shooter fled the scene, and there have been no arrests.

The fiancé said there was no indication of impending trouble on the happy occasion until the bullet tore into the love of his life’s left ear.

“They were singing,” he said. “Everyone was chilling. Next thing I know, my (fiancée) was laying down on the floor ... They were arguing and we heard shots and they hit my (fiancée).”

The born-and-raised East New York man was grateful the shooting didn’t kill his partner of more than a decade.

“Thank God he didn’t take (her) away from me,” he said. “That’s it. Like I said, this happens every day in the hood. It happens to you and then you’re like, ‘ What the hell?’ You’re the victim then.”
