No virus for Wein Reps say health getting ‘worse’
Fallen Hollywood honcho Harvey Weinstein doesn’t have COVID -19, but his health is declining while he’s locked up due to his rape conviction, his reps said Thursday.
The spokespeople announced the negative test result two days after sources told the Daily News that Weinstein had a soaring fever from a suspected coronavirus infection.
“We can report that Mr. We i n s t e i n ’s fever has dropped but is still being c l o s e l y m o n i t o re d ,” h i s spokesman, Juda Engelmayer, and Craig Rothfeld, his NYS Department of Corrections healthcare representative, said in a joint statement to The News.
“We can also report at this time that he does not have COVID-19,” they said.
In court papers filed Thursday, Weinstein’s lawyer Imran Ansari listed a litany of the perv producer’s ailments.
They include “diabetes mellitus, extensive coronary artery disease with calcium score 1500, anginal syndrome and diffuse moderate coronary artery disease documented this year by angiography, obstructive sleep apnea, chronic lower back pain, significant sciatica with n e u r o p a t h y, chronic leg pain and arthritis with severe limitations of ability to walk, anemia, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, ailments of his eyes that have severely degraded his vision, and has underwent several surgeries in the past year.”
“The multitude of health conditions that Mr. Weinstein suffers f rom places him in extreme danger of life-threatening complications if he should contract COVID-19,” Ansari added.
Ansari says the ailments should delay Weinstein’s testimony under oath in a lawsuit filed by his accusers.

The statement thanked Weinstein’s medical team at the Wende Correctional Facility in Alden, NY, where Weinstein is serving a 23year sentence for rape and sexual assault.
“We all remain concerned about his health. If we have any further to report, we will provide timely updates,” the reps said.
The court filing confirmed reports that Weinstein had suffered a 101-degree fever amid fears he had COVID-19.
Several other reports said We i n s t e i n contracted COVID-19 in March, but he was never officially diagnosed.
