2 killed by subways in Manhattan, Qns.

Two people died Friday morning after being hit by subway trains in Manhattan and Queens, police said.

The first incident happened just before 4 a.m. a few hundred feet south of the Grand Ave. station in Elmhurst.

A 54-year-old man was on the tracks near a catwalk — a platform along the edge of the tunnel used by MTA workers — when a Manhattan-bound E train struck and killed him, cops said.

About five hours later, a woman died after jumping in front of a train at 34th St./Penn Station.

Police were investigat­ing both crashes

Friday.
