MTA worker nabbed in siege

An MTA worker charged with taking part in the deadly mob at the U.S. Capitol last week was arrested by federal law enforcemen­t in the Hudson Valley on Tuesday, federal officials said.

Will Pepe (inset), a laborer at Metro-North’s railyard in Brewster, is due to appear in White Plains Federal Court on Wednesday morning, officials said.

The charges against him were not immediatel­y disclosed.

Pepe was photograph­ed inside the Capitol after it was overtaken by insurrecti­onists attempting to stop Congress from certifying President-elect Joe Biden’s election, oofficials said last week.

Pepe called in sick the dday of the riot, which left fifive people dead. The Metrropoli­tan Transporta­tion AAuthority suspended him withoutw pay on Friday. “Pepe, 31, lives in Beacon and is a registered Republican, public records show.
