Expect lots of points in NFC

- BY PJ WALSH

Tom Brady vs. Aaron Rodgers -- it doesn’t get much better than that. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the Green Bay Packers in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game to decide which future Hall-of-Fame quarterback will earn a trip to Super Bowl 55. Not only is this matchup an exciting one for fans, it’s also lighting up our NFL PRO Projections as the top betting edge of Sunday’s conference title matchups. Using The Action Network’s betting model projections, here’s the Buccaneers vs. Packers wager that savvy bettors should jump on right now.

Bucs vs. Packers Pick

Green Bay currently ranks first in Football Outsiders’ offensive DVOA while Tampa Bay ranks third, so it’s not all that surprising to see our PRO Projections expecting points in this game.

Additionally, Lambeau Field is known for cold, windy and even snowy conditions in January, which is often a big advantage for Rodgers and Company.

However, Brady certainly has had plenty of success throughout his career in similar conditions, so it’s reasonable to assume that the Bucs offense will not be negatively affected by poor weather.

Our model pegs the Bucs vs. Packers total at 54.8, showing plenty of value considering the market consensus over/under of 51.

In fact, the difference between our projection and the current number translates to a solid 5.9% betting edge, which earns an B grade from a PRO Projections feature.

PRO Projections Pick: Over 51

?? AP ?? Just because Tom Brady has won the Super Bowl six times doesn’t mean he’s not excited to play in Sunday’s NFC title game.
