Coin-sock bash of ma on train

- John Annese

A random attacker hit a woman with a sock full of coins in front of her 8-year-old son on a Bronx No. 6 train, police said Tuesday.

The 45-year-old victim and her young son were riding an uptown train at about 3:45 p.m. Feb. 25 when her attacker approached them as they pulled into the Hunts Point station, cops said.

“Why are you recording me on your cell phone?” the man asked the victim, cops said. It’s not clear what he was referring to, police said.

The man then kicked the woman in the foot and hit her with the coin-filled sock, police said.

Medics took her to Lincoln Hospital with a cut to her head.

Police released photos of the attacker, and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
