Staten Island: In response to Voicer Carol Webb: Ms. Webb, you missed the point of my original letter. During the presidential debates, each argued back and forth that they were the better candidate for president. After being named the Democratic candidate, Joe Biden selected Kamala Harris to be vice president. He didn’t pick her because she was the best candidate. He picked her because the state she represented carried the most electoral votes. John F. Kennedy did the same thing with Lyndon Johnson in 1960.
