1 killed, 1 injured outside a Bx. deli

One man was killed and another was critically hurt in a barrage of gunfire outside a Bronx deli Sunday night, police said.

The men were hit outside the Chicken Deli Grocery (phto) on E. 180th St. at Monterey Ave. in Belmont about 9 p.m., cops said. At least 17 shell casings were found at the scene.

Medics took both men to St. Barnabas Hospital. A 37-year-old victim shot in the chest couldn’t be saved. A 31-year-old victim shot in the head was in critical condition late Sunday.

Police made no arrests in the shooting, and the victims’ names were not immediately released.
