Ilion, N.Y.: I strongly object to the letter that referred to “Jesus ambling in the gardens of Gethsemane.” Jesus did not amble! He prayed so fervently that he sweated blood and said, “Father, if I can avoid drinking this cup, please allow that. If not, I will drink it. Thy will, and not mine, be done!” Jesus was preparing himself for the flogging, carrying of his cross and his agonizing crucifixion! He was not ambling!
