Nutley, N.J.: Per Voicer Glenn Stevenson’s letter on President Biden’s choice of a VP: There were several reasons to select Kamala Harris as a candidate: her articulateness, her experience as a state attorney general and senator, her ability to win elections and the gender and racial diversity she brought to the ticket. Her help in winning California is pretty far down the list. Biden probably could have won California with me on his ticket. The rest of us can speculate on Biden’s reasoning, but nevertheless, I congratulate Stevenson on his ability to read Biden’s mind.
