‘Today’ is fine day for needle

-

There’s no time like “Today” to get vaccinated.

Five anchors of NBC’s “Today” lined up outside Rockefeller Center on Wednesday morning for their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones, Dylan Dreyer and Jenna Bush Hager put on their face masks and pulled up their sleeves as a group of Walgreens pharmacists administered their Pfizer-BioNTec shots during a live broadcast.

“We’re outside, we’re on the plaza. First time in a long, long time,” said host Hoda Kotb, who introduced the segment with Al Roker.

“The vaccine rollout is in full force — nearly 170 million doses given here in the U.S. so far,” added Kotb, who received her first shot last week.

“And we’re about to add five more people to the count right now,” she said.
