Bayonne: Just when you think Mitch McConnell cannot sink lower, he basically threatens free enterprise and U.S. businesses with a broad warning about how and where to spend their money! On Monday, McConnell said, “Businesses must not use economic blackmail to spread disinformation and push bad ideas that citizens reject at the ballot box.” First of all, citizens have not rejected broader voting rights at the ballot box — just the opposite: look at the popular vote in our most recent election. Does he, or anybody, really believe corporations from all backgrounds — beverages (Coke), airlines (Delta) and even professional sports (MLB) — are conspiring to push a liberal agenda? I believe the facts will show big business has traditionally supported the Republican Party and even they recognize recent dangerous, unpopular and un-American laws to limit freedom of choice.
