1 slain, 1 grazed in gas station shooting
A 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed and a moped rider was grazed in the head in a drive-by shooting at a Manhattan gas station early Wednesday, police said.
Roberto Perez was on his motorcycle, possibly about to get gas at the service station at Ninth Ave. and W. 207th St. in Inwood, when someone opened fire from what appeared to be a white sedan about 1:15 a.m., cops said. Perez, struck in the upper body, was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, but could not be saved.
A 24-year-old man on a moped raced from the scene, but drove himself to BronxCare Health System after he realized he’d been grazed in the head. He was in stable condition. He told cops he has no connection to the motorcyclist.
