Brooklyn: Let us pay tribute to the recently deceased Jacques D’Amboise. The acclaimed ballet and movie dancer, actor, writer and longtime member of the New York City Ballet died at the age of 86 on May 2. He founded the National Dance Institute and received numerous awards, such as a Kennedy Center honor, a MacArthur Fellowship and others. He was a Manhattan resident from his early childhood to his death. He was a true New Yorker.
