A street gang member has been jailed in a 2019 Brooklyn slaying during a hail of bullets — two of which slammed into nearby buses, police said Wednesday.

Jamel Dossie, 31, of the Blood Stone Villains gang, is accused of killing Francisco Bonilla, 32, during a confrontation at Dumont and Pennsylvania Aves. in East New York about 8:45 a.m. on Nov. 19, 2019.

According to police, Dossie allegedly fired at least six shots, striking Bonilla in the chest and abdomen. Another bullet hit a school bus — missing the one child onboard — while a second slug pierced the rear door of an MTA B20 bus. None of the approximately 30 passengers were hurt.

Bonilla (inset), who lived just steps from where he was fatally shot, had a young daughter and had recently graduated from college, his family said. He died at Brookdale University Hospital.

Dossie, who has more than 20 prior arrests on his record, surrendered at the Brooklyn district attorney’s office and was charged Tuesday with murder, manslaughter, weapon possession and reckless endangerment.

At his arraignment in Brooklyn Supreme Court on Wednesday, Assistant District Attorney Krystyn Tendy said Dossie had evaded capture by fleeing south.

Tendy said Dossie was arrested on a warrant issued after he was indicted in November 2020 in the slaying case — discovered by police when he got into an automobile crash in Virginia. After the warrant popped up, Dossie was brought back to Brooklyn to face the charges.

But Dossie’s lawyer disputed the prosecutor’s narrative, saying Dossie wasn’t on the run but had moved to Atlanta and was driving back to New York to see his daughter when he got into the Virginia crash.

“He was not hiding or running or purposefully evading police in any way,” insisted defense lawyer Lorraine Belostock.

Dossie was ordered held without bail on the murder charge by Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Vincent Del Giudice.

He’s due back in court Sep. 15.
