Matt Damon on Bennifer: ‘I hope it’s true’

Matt Damon is onboard for a Bennifer reunion.

The actor (inset) had a laugh when he was asked on NBC’s “Today” show about his longtime friend Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, who reportedly hung out recently in Montana.

“There’s not enough liquor in the world for you to get me to say something about that,” Damon quipped during the TV appearance Tuesday.

The “Stillwater” star later added, “I love them both. I hope it’s true. That would be awesome.”

Affleck and Lopez got engaged in 2002 before breaking up in 2004.

Damon, 50, and Affleck, 48, have regularly worked together over the years, including starring in and co-writing the classic drama “Good Will Hunting,” which earned them the 1998 Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

Lopez and former Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez announced their breakup last month in a statement to the “Today” show, saying they “realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so.”

Damon stars in the thriller “Stillwater,” out July 30 in theaters, as an Oklahoma father working to clear his daughter’s name after she’s accused of murder.
