Two men were shot dead outside Brooklyn NYCHA housing projects during a bloody 20-minute span, police said Thursday.

A 35-year-old Bloods gang member was killed during a barbecue on the grounds of the Hope Gardens housing project about 11:05 p.m. Wednesday, cops said.

Someone opened fire with a .380 caliber handgun behind a building on Menahan St. near Wilson Ave. in Bushwick. Ten shell casings were recovered from the scene.

When officers arrived, the victim was bleeding from wounds to his upper body and left arm. Medics rushed him to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately released.

Two men took off in a BMW but the car was recovered nearby with the murder weapon inside. One man jumped out of the car, ran off and was being sought. The other occupant, a 30-year-old man, was taken into custody.

Police said it his not clear if that man, a member of the Blood Hound Brims gang, fired the shots.

The Blood Hound Brims are a faction of the Bloods. In December 2019, Latique Johson, described as the gang’s founder, was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for drug trafficking and two shootings.

The victim had five arrests on his record, including for attempted murder in 2005, when he was accused of shooting a 17-year-old girl three times. His other arrests include charges for gun possession and assault.

The person of interest taken into custody from the car has four prior arrests, including for weapons possession, robbery and selling drugs, cops said.

Just 20 minutes earlier in an unrelated incident, a 23-year-old man was fatally shot in the face on the grounds of the Marlboro Houses on W. 11 St. near Avenue W in Gravesend.

Cops recovered surveillance video of the killer running away. He was still being sought.

Medics rushed the victim to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where he died. His name was not immediately released.
