A boyfriend from hell was slammed Friday as “a waste of time” before being sentenced to 20 years to life for fatally stabbing his girlfriend.

Joshua Martinez, 34, killed Carol Nystrom in their W. 206th St. apartment in Manhattan’s Inwood neighborhood on Sept. 17. He stabbed her 10 times in the chest and five times in the head.

Nystrom, 44, was found after a concerned friend called police and said she hadn’t heard from the victim in several days. Cops forced open the door and found Nystrom, beaten and stabbed, on the bedroom floor.

“Everyone [told] her — her friends, her father — that this man was a waste of time. She believed that she could save him,” Assistant District Attorney Matthew Bogdanos said in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Judge April Newbauer imposed the sentence for second degree murder.

Nystrom was described by friends as a kind neighbor who worked as a dog walker and delivered food for Doordash. She also created COVID-19 masks for friends, her pals said.

“I wanted to say that I’m sorry for all the pain I’ve caused for the people in the room,” Martinez said in court.
