Sucker punchers

Manhattan: I just read your article about a woman punched in an unprovoked subway attack (“Woman socked in the head at Grand Central,” July 22) and I thought I would flag that the same thing happened to me about two months ago in the same subway station. I was minding my own business when a man hit me in the face with a heavy plastic bag, then walked away. I took a few pictures of him at a distance. I did not report it to the police — I asked public safety and called two stations but none of them took my complaint because it was not their jurisdiction and I did not have injuries besides a bit of bleeding. But I wanted to flag it, given the similarity to this event. Francesco Mazzini
