Electrified

Manhattan: As a resident of Loisaida, I was happy to read of the Taxi & Limousine Commission’s change of heart regarding Revel’s Tesla taxis (“Juiced & ready,” July 26) and I look forward to seeing and riding these emissaries of a carbon-free future in my neighborhood. I was also inspired by the rhyming opportunities the writer suggested with his description of the new cars as a “blue-hued fleet” — The Blue-Hued Crew: I say, “Phew, / I’m glad the TLC got the cue, / so I can ride without toxic spew / and with something else that’s new / drivers getting their due! / So, though 50 Teslas are too few / for a start they will do / Revel, bravo to you!” Elizabeth Poreba
