Israeli settlements’ supply of ice cream. During the 1948 war, the Israelis expelled more than half the Palestinian population (some 700,000) and seized their land and businesses without compensation. Many Palestinians fled in the aftermath of the Deir Yassin massacre carried out by the Israeli military. You hypocrites never mention this ethnic cleansing, do you? Nor do you mention other acts of Israeli terrorism, such as the King David Hotel bombing and the assassination of UN negotiator Count Folke Bernadotte (they didn’t like his partition plan). The historical claim argument carries no weight as its strength diminishes over time. You can’t come back after 1,700 years and destroy the peace of the current occupants merely because you want their stuff. Because you folks put kinship over both country and what is morally right, I expect no change in the way you spin the facts.
