Covington, Diane

Diane Covington (Bronx, NY) was born in New York City on July 31, 1961 to Nora Covington (now Augustin) and Bernard “Sonny” Boddie. She was called to glory on August 9, 2016. 2021 marks five years since she was taken away from us. Diane graduated from Morris High school. She had a wonderful personality, an infectious laugh, and was a social butterfly. She loved wearing bright lipstick! Diane is survived by her mother, Nora Augustin; her aunts Susie Whitten, Gloria Hancock and Maybelle Moses, her brothers Dennis Covington, Daniel Covington, Donnie Covington, Anthony Whitten, and Christopher Hancock; her sisters Sonia Covington and Audrey Covington, her six children Yolanda Covington-Ward, Jatavia Covington, Efonté (Dana) Covington, Nyesha Covington, Brandon Covington, and Michelle Covington; her close cousins Jeremy Hancock, Sheila Lott, Leisa Whitten, Yvonne Simmons, among other cousins; her nine grandchildren Corey Hinson Junior (CJ), Leyeti Ward, Destiny Covington, Jaicere Hinson, Jadaa Edwards, Lincoln Ward II, Journey Covington, Hasani Henry, and Janari Hinson; her nieces Tiffany Covington, Ranika Covington, and Michelle Covington, her nephews Mikel Covington, Daniel Covington, Rayvone Covington, Eugene Covington, Carlton Brown, Jalen Grant, Zavione Grant, Tyler Whitten, and many other relatives and friends.
