Cheaper fixes

Brooklyn: Chuck Schumer and his new puppet Eric Adams are requesting $5 billion dollars to combat gun violence in NYC (“Pols seek $5B vs. city gun violence,” Sept. 11). If you want to combat gun violence and overall crime in NYC, take the handcuffs off of the NYPD and put them on the criminals. Give the NYPD back their budget and the tools they had. Bring back stop-and-frisk, the anti-crime units and the gang units. Stop butt-smooching the criminals. The law-abiding citizens in this city would certainly appreciate it.
