As summer draws to a close, the city will see numerous fairs, festivals, protests, and other outdoor activities this weekend. At 9 a.m. on Saturday, the LIC Waterfront 5k Run/Walk will begin at Hunter’s Point South Park, at Center Blvd. and Borden Ave. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Carroll Park Fair will impact Carroll St., President St., Smith St., and Court St.

The Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens will be holding a back-to-school festival from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 21st St. and 30th Rd. On Broadway and Corona Ave., the Shan Traditiona­l Foods and Multi-Ethnic Fundraisin­g Fair will last from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Staten Island, the World Rhythm Festival will take place on Amboy St. at Blake Ave.

Be aware of slowdowns around Columbus Circle due to the World-Wide Rally for Freedom from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The

Amsterdam Eco and Arts Festival will be taking place from noon to 6:30 p.m. on Amsterdam Ave. between 109th St. and 110th St. The Armenian Street Festival will be held on 210th St. between the Horace Harding Expy. and 58th Ave., noon to 9 p.m. The Sunnyside Garden Park Rock Festival will impact 39th Ave., Barnett Ave., 48th St. and 50th St. from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On Sunday, the Midtown West Autumn Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. along 8th Ave. from 42nd St. to 50th St. The March against Displaceme­nt and Racial Violence will begin at 11 a.m. at Elizabeth St. between Kenmare St. and Broome St., proceeding to Centre St. between Grand St. and Howard St. The St. George Coptic Orthodox Church Street Festival will take place 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on 11th Ave. between 62nd St. and 63rd St. in Brooklyn.

Both baseball teams will be in town this weekend. Cleveland will play the Yankees Friday at 7 p.m., plus Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. Philadelph­ia) will face the Mets Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7 p.m.
