EAGLES at JETS

-

1 p.m., Eagles by 6.5,45

HANK’S HONEYS: Not wild about picking either side here. Jalen Hurts, who played one of the dumbest games ever last week at MetLife (along with coach Nick Sirianni’s play calling), is nursing a sore ankle and may not be his mobile self. The question is how that will affect the Eagles’ top-ranked running game, of which Hurts is a big part. After all, the Jets are ranked fifth-worst against the run. This is also a lot of points for the Eagles to be giving on the road, but the Jets, who are trying to beat the Eagles for the first time in their history (0 -1 1 ) have yet to put two good efforts together. The Eagles defense has held three of its last five opponents under 1 4 points and certainly has the ability to lock down the Jets’ piddly attack. That makes this a lean southward down the Turnpike.

IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Eagles and the under.
