-

Queens College prepares students to become the leaders of tomorrow by offering a rigorous education in the liberal arts, business, and sciences under the guidance of an outstanding faculty dedicated to teaching and scholarship. Students graduate with the skills that employers and the best graduate schools are looking for: a critical, problem-solving intelligence, the ability to express ideas clearly, an appreciation of diversity and different cultures, and an aptitude for the latest technologies.

Academic Excellence

Recognized nationally for the excellence of its academic offerings, Queens College comprises four schools dedicated to education, the humanities, mathematics and natural sciences, and social sciences; two additional schools have been organized to focus, respectively, on the arts and business. All told, the college offers over 170 programs. Pair this up with an extensive network of internship opportunities with companies and agencies such as NASA and Google for a college experience second to none.

Queens College is the ideal choice for aspiring educators—no school in the metropolitan area has graduated more New York City public school teachers, counselors, and principals than QC. The college has more computer science majors than any other CUNY college and its acclaimed Aaron Copland School of Music offers talented students conservatory-level training and an excellent liberal arts education. QC’s students, faculty, alumni, and staff have received over 100 Grammy awards and nominations.

Affordable Tuition

Tuition costs at Queens College won’t break the bank, as it’s among the most affordable in the nation. Nearly 70% of full-time undergraduates receive needbased aid, and QC is in the top 1% of colleges nationwide in helping students from lower-income families attain upward social and economic mobility. Queens College offers merit-based scholarships to full-time transfer students through its Transfer Honors Program (THP). The THP provides financial and academic support—including individual advisement, mentoring, and participation in a community of honors students—to help talented students pursue ambitious programs tailored to their scholastic and career goals.
