Watch out for inebriated postgame drivers on the roads later that evening and the following morning. In New York, crashes between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. were 46% higher on Super Bowl Sunday than the same times the rest of the year, according to an AAA analysis. Many drivers will be tired and hung-over Monday morning, so the danger will continue between 6 a.m. and noon, when the same study found crashes went up 59%. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!

MAILBAG Dear Readers,

Love is in the air with Valentine’s Day just around the corner. I found the best gift for those who love NYC, especially the Brooklyn Bridge (who doesn’t?). A new book is out, “Building the Brooklyn Bridge 1869-1883” by Jeffrey I. Richman. I loved showing it to my granddaughter, since many of the pics of the bridge under construction are in 3-D. Great for children and old-timers like me!
