The New York International Salsa Congress (NYISC) announces its 20th Anniversary return set for Sept. 1-5 at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel Times Square in Manhattan. The premiere Latin culture, dance, and music festival features a slate of immersive programming starring vibrant dancers, instructor, and musicians, from around the world.
Dancers and revelers can take part in over 60 multi-level instructional workshops and boot camps, plus enjoy youth and adult performances, live concerts, themed parties, educational and cultural workshops, and of course, social dancing. At the Congress Mercado, eventgoers can also indulge in artisan gifts, products and services from diverse merchants, vendors, and sponsors. Tickets range between $20 to $349 with tiered passes for single-say and full-weekend passes. New performer and programming announcements will be detailed online.

The New York International Children’s Film Festival will run on weekends from March 4 through March 13 for audiences ages 5 and older. All programming for ages 3-5 will be available online throughout the entirety of the festival including weekdays.

MARTIN LUTHER KING CELEBRATION
The eMeLe-K project is a heartfelt cultural homage to King’s legacy created by former New York Public Librarian author Rodger Taylor and Miguel Trelles, artistic director of Teatro LATEA @ The Clemente. The weeklong event from Feb. 21 through Feb. 26 includes workshops, online forums and live musical performances celebrating the Civil Rights movement and the contributions of Afro-Latinos have made to society.
