A 9-year-old Brooklyn girl was found dead with trauma to her head and bite marks on her back in her home Sunday, cops and sources said.

Police arrived at the horrific scene about 1 p.m. after responding to a 911 call from the dead girl’s mother, finding Shalom Guifarro’s body in an apartment on Lincoln Place near Franklin Ave. in Crown Heights.

Shalom had evidence of trauma to her head and bite marks on her back, police and sources said.

Later Sunday afternoon, police carried out two dogs in cages from the four-story apartment building.

Neighbors said the family had two dogs, one a pit bull.

Shalom lived in the apartment with a sister and her mother — who a family friend said is extremely protective of her children.

“She wouldn’t let the kids do nothing, she wouldn’t let them play with [other] kids,” said Chris Harrington. “They’re good kids, they go to private school.”

Neighbors saw the children as extremely well-mannered, a trait Harrington credited to their strict mother.

“I saw them last week, and she was yelling at the kids then,” Harrington said. “They’re good kids, but it’s her,” he added calling the behavior “overprotective, like she don’t want you to give them nothing that she don’t allow.”

A neighbor echoed the sentiment. “She doesn’t let people get close to her kids,” said a neighbor, who only identified herself as Trudy. “It’s sad, very sad. I never saw her being mean or anything to the kids.”

The city medical examiner will determine Shalom’s cause of death.

There were no immediate arrests.
