Good riddance

-

Bayonne: Those of us from Hudson County are used to strange smells in the air. But on Tuesday, there was a bad stench. It didn’t last long, mind you, but it was definitely noticeable. I discovered its source: It was Joey Gallo passing overhead on his way to L.A. We Yankee fans are glad to be rid of Joey “The Whiffer” Gallo. I wonder how Dodgers fans feel about giving up a pitching prospect for a player who has more than 100 strikeouts and a batting average of about .160 for the season. Then again, given the underperforming outfield that the Dodgers now have, Gallo will fit right in with them. Gallo out of pinstripes and on his way to wear Dodgers blue is the best thing to have happened to the Yankees this season. Anna Lynn Cilento
