Defense denied

Brooklyn: Pepper spray is legal to use and carry for self-defense within New York State. Pepper spray formulated for human attackers, although legal for self-defense, is not allowed to ship to a New York address. Many surrounding states do allow shipment. Does this make any sense? Amazon will not ship pepper spray to New York. I had to import it from Wisconsin. I would not consider carrying a firearm, but restricting the availability of a non-lethal defense is crazy. I hope I never need to use it, but I feel more secure knowing it’s in my pocket. Anne Slamka
