One person died and 10 others were wounded in Memphis early Sunday in a pair of shootings believed to be connected, police said.

Authorities took two victims in critical condition from the Live Lounge night club to the nearby Regional One Hospital before 1 a.m. local time, while five victims in noncritical condition arrived at local medical centers via private vehicles, the Memphis Police Department said.

Police say there were four additional shooting victims at another location, including a man who was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victims were hospitalized at Regional One in critical condition.

Authorities have not made any arrests or named a suspect. Images of three unidentified persons of interest (right) were shared by police.

“There are 3 persons of interest that investigators would like to speak w/ concerning this incident,” reads a tweet from the Memphis Police Department. “If anyone can identify these individuals, call Crime Stoppers @ 901-528-CASH. The individual in the blk t-shirt w/ green writing may have been injured and needs medical attention.”

The five victims who suffered noncritical wounds have been released from local hospitals, police said in an update late Sunday morning. The other five remain in critical condition.

The circumstances preceding the shootings were not immediately known. A motive has not been released, nor have the identities of any of the victims.

Sunday’s violence occurred less than a week after a gunman opened fire on the Michigan State University campus last Monday night, killing three students and wounding five others. The shooter, Anthony McRae, killed himself about four miles from the campus following a police manhunt, officials said.

A motive in that rampage has not been revealed. The gunman was not a student or employee at the university.
