Jumpstart your healthcare career with a degree from Touro University’s NYSCAS
With the field of healthcare booming, there has never been a better time to consider pursuing health related college studies. Whatever your professional target—whether medical doctor, nurse, physician’s assistant, physical therapist, radiographer, dentist, pharmacist, or sonography technician—Touro University’s New York School of Career and Applied Studies (NYSCAS) puts dozens of in-demand career options within reach.
At NYSCAS, we prepare our students for the job market by focusing on career-oriented undergraduate degrees and courses that give you the professional knowledge you’ll need on the job, in graduate school, and beyond. Whether you are just out of high school, or transitioning to a new field, NYSCAS can help you achieve your goals with our range of
Associate, Bachelor’s, and Pathway-to-Grad programs,
including Medical Imaging, Nursing, Biology (Pre-Health Science), and more.
NYSCAS’ multiple sites across NYC conveniently accommodate students from all areas of the city. At every location, students benefit from small-sized classes taught by esteemed faculty who bring both theoretical and real-world experience to their classrooms. For maximum convenience, the school offers classes via Zoom (synchronously) and online (asynchronously) — plus evening and weekend classes — so students can fit their degree program into their schedule.
Pathways in Healthcare
Touro University is one of the country’s largest medical and healthcare education providers. Our signature Pathway Programs offer select students a direct route to advanced degrees in medicine and pharmacy within the Touro University System. As a pathway program student, you will start your graduate classes early and have the credits count toward both your undergraduate and graduate degrees, saving time and cost.
The Medical Honors Pathway leads to a baccalaureate degree from NYSCAS and an M.D. from New York Medical College, one of the country’s largest and most prominent medical schools. In this track, you’ll be mentored by NYSCAS and New York Medical College faculty and staff throughout your studies, receiving counseling and assistance with MCAT preparation and clinical or research opportunities.
For students interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy—one of the top paying professions in the healthcare sector—we offer a 3+4 Pharmacy Fast Track. This joint pathway of NYSCAS and Touro College of Pharmacy (TCOP), allows students to earn both a bachelor’s and a PharmD degree in only seven years.
Beyond our Pathway Programs, Touro offers top-quality, career-ready degree programs in Nursing, Radiography, Sonography, and Biology (Pre-Health).
Our 27-month AAS Nursing program provides students with powerful foundations in health sciences and liberal arts to pursue any number of lucrative careers within the nursing field. Students are ready for their National Council Licensure Examination upon completion, and transition quickly into nursing jobs.
Our accredited Medical Imaging programs train students to provide high quality radiographic or sonographic health care, through a combination of classwork and hands-on clinical experience. Our associate degrees offer all the requisite training to take the national licensing exams and enter the workforce.
During our four-year B.S. degree program in Biology, students acquire the foundational knowledge and skills to launch them into careers in the health sciences and allied health professions. Our Biology alumni are regularly admitted to professional schools, where they earn licensure as medical doctors, physician’s assistants, physical therapists, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, and more.
