Actor Jonathan Majors — a star of the new “Creed” movie and the latest Marvel film — was busted in Manhattan on Saturday on a charge of assault that police said arose from a domestic dispute.

Majors, 33, was arrested at about 11:15 a.m. Saturday at an apartment near W. 22nd St. and Eighth Ave. in Chelsea, said police.

Majors originally called 911 to say his girlfriend was causing problems, said a law enforcement source. When police arrived, they noticed the woman was injured, the source said.

“The victim informed police she was assaulted,” said a police department statement. “Officers placed the 33-yearold male [Majors] into custody without incident.

“The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.” Her injuries were minor, the law enforcement source said.

Majors is charged with strangulation, assault and harassment, police said.

A spokesperson for Majors denied the allegations, telling TMZ, “He’s done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.”

Majors was awaiting arraignment Saturday night in Manhattan Criminal Court.

Majors is coming off a big year for his career.

He hosted “Saturday Night Live” in November and starred as the villain Kang the Conqueror in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” which is based on the Marvel comics characters and is now in theaters.

He also plays the antagonist opposite Michael B. Jordan in “Creed III,” the ninth film in the “Rocky” series of boxing movies.

Majors rose to prominence after his role in the indie movie “The Last Black Man in San Francisco in 2019.” He is originally from Santa Barbara, Calif., and got a degree in fine arts from the Yale School of Drama in 2016.
