These prolific snails, which have brown shells and bodies, can be found in many yards in New York.

Grove Snail cepaea nemoralis

Another common East Coast snail. These tend to have a yellow or pink striped shell.

White-lipped Snail cepaea hortensis

The white-lipped snail has a similar shell pattern to the grove snail but is slightly smaller.
