 I’VE HAD A FEW THERAPISTS in the past. One of them was okay. The most recent one was a disaster. It really wasn’t going anywhere, and I kind of felt like, Ugh, let me try somebody else. Venita’s good at revealing stuff and guiding me to a place where I’m like, Oh, okay, that’s what is going on. She’s helped me guide myself away from that codependency in the sense of wanting to please people or believing that their validation validates your existence. She’s helped me get to the point where I’ve got my confidence back.
