Material

There are two types of cotton most often used to make sheets: percale (light and crisp) and sateen (silky and warm). Alternative fibers include linen (durable and, because of its open weave, a lot cooler), Supima cotton (soft, exceptionally strong, and made in the U.S.), bamboo (sweat-wicking and sustainable), and silk (luxurious but the most finicky to maintain).
