You may know Oliver Sim from his stint as a singer and songwriter in the U.K. indie-rock trio the xx, whose moonlit, minimalist songs captivated rock and pop fans alike a decade ago. Sim is gearing up to release his debut solo album— September’s Hideous Bastard, produced by Jamie xx—and opening up in ways he never has before.
