The cellist Jamal Aliyev (one of Classic FM’s “30 under 30” last year) has a lyrical and deeply emotional way of playing. He makes his New York main-stage debut with fellow Turkish pianist and composer Fazıl Say, performing pieces by Franck and Schubert as well as Say’s “Four Cities” sonata.
