This four-part docuseries about the sordid life of legendary record producer Phil Spector could be classified as a work of true crime—much of it focuses on Spector’s murder of actress Lana Clarkson and the criminal trials that followed. But it also traces Spector’s evolution and devolution as an artist, one with enormous talent and a level of self-involvement that loomed equally large.
