H’wood’s highest-paid actors

Every project “Iron Man” actor Robert Downey Jr. touches is turning to gold.

The actionadventure hero (right) tops Forbes magazine’s list of highestearning Hollywood actors — raking in $75 million for the year ending June 1.

It’s been a remarkable ride to superstardom for the 48yearold Downey, who burst on the scene as a teen — but whose life and career were in shambles amid his drug addiction and related legal troubles from 1996 to 2001.

Downey’s “The Avengers” and “Iron Man 3” were boxoffice smashes this past year.

Following Downey in Forbes’ list, Channing Tatum proved himself as a star last year in the surprise stripper hit “Magic Mike.” The actor — who worked as a stripper in Tampa early in his life — and director Steven Soderbergh put up their own cash to finance the film.

Tatum raked in roughly $60 million in the past year, according to Forbes.

“XMen” actor Hugh Jackman, at No. 3, brought in an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Jean Valjean in “Les Misérables” to top off a successful and profitable year where he brought home $55 million in earnings.

Mark Wahlberg made $52 million in 201213, good for fourth on this year’s Forbes list. It’s been a filthyrich two years for the “Ted” star, who was on the same list for 201112, when he took in a No. 9rated $27 million.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson sped into the 201213 top five, earning $46 million, thanks in part to “Fast & Furious 6” and his current reality show “The Hero.” Johnson was onn last year’s list, coming in at No. 4 with $36 million.

Last year’s top earner, Tom Cruise, was bumpedumped down to thehe No. 8 slot, earning $35 million. That’s $40 million less than he made the previous year.

The 201213 top 10 was rounded out by Leonardo DiCaprio ($39 million), Adam Sandler ($37 million), Denzel Washington ($$33 million) and Liam Neeson ($32 million).

DiCaprio and Sandler also made the 2011-12 top 10 list.
