GOLF: Nordqvist ends long drought

Anna Nordqvist won the LPGA Thailand to end a fiveyear victory drought, holding off topranked Inbee Park at Siam County Club.

The 26yearold Swede closed with a 4under 68 to beat defending champion Park by two strokes. Seventeeny­earold amateur Minjee Lee won the Victorian Open by six strokes for her first victory in a profession­al event.

Lee closed with a 6under 68 to finish at 16under 279 in Melbourne, Australia.

NBA: Minus LeBron, Heat beat Bulls

With LeBron James out with a broken nose, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade powered the Heat to a 9379 victory over the Bulls in Miami.

In Oklahoma City, Jamal Crawford scored 36 points to help the Clippers beat the Thunder 125117.

Kevin Durant had 42 points and 10 assists for the Thunder, who lost their second straight.

In Toronto, Kyle Lowry scored 28 points, DeMar DeRozan had 24 and the Raptors beat the Magic 10590, handing Orlando its 15th straight road loss.

ETC: Nadal wins Rio Open

Rafael Nadal returned from a troublesom­e back injury to win the Rio Open defeating Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine 63, 76 (3).

Nadal’s victory comes four weeks after losing the Australian Open final to underdog Stanislas Wawrinka after tweaking his back while warming up. Rockies starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin is being shut down in spring training due to inflammati­on in his throwing shoulder, and will undergo an MRI exam on Monday.
