Bullygate vic Martin waived by San Fran

- Associated Press

The 49ers have waived offensive lineman Jonathan Martin.

The team announced the move on Thursday to end Martin’s oneyear trial run with the team.

The Niners acquired Martin last March in a deal with Miami. Martin had left the Dolphins in October 2013 after accusing teammate Richie Incognito of bullying. An NFL investigation determined Incognito and two other Dolphins offensive linemen engaged in persistent harassment of Martin.

Martin started seven games at right tackle last season in place of injured Anthony Davis. He struggled in that role and allowed 7.5 sacks, according to STATS.

Martin was picked in the second round out of Stanford in 2012.

L.A. STADIUMS: Labor leaders announced they have resolved a dispute with developers that threatened to delay construction of a proposed 80,000seat stadium near Los Angeles that could become home for an NFL team.

Labor leaders worried certain jobs connected to the nearly $2 billion project backed by Rams owner Stan Kroenke might be awarded to nonunionized workers. Labor trouble could make a stadium project less appealing to the NFL and its owners, who ultimately decide on possible team moves. In a statement, the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor said agreements have been reached on those jobs for the project in Inglewood, about 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles.
