Kicking the Iran Can: Bam’s Lazy Nuke Plan

-

think it is really interesting and terribly dangerous that the only red line that President Obama seems to care about is Iran getting nukeswhile he is in office (“But After I’m Gone? Fine!” Editorial, April 8).

Looking at the entire situation, however, I think his comments and current knowledge of Iran’s bomb program point to a disturbing window that Iran just might exploit.

If I were the mullahs and I did not care about cheating or even getting caught, what would be the best way to get to a point of no return? Complete the delivery systems for at least a dozen missiles while pushing to make several Abombs before Jan. 20, 2017, because it is clear Obama will do nothing.

We will never know exactly where the weapons are, how much enriched uranium they have and what facilities they have. Could Iran build multiple bombs? Possibly. If they could, the time to do a test and come out of the nuke closet would be between the 2016 election and the end of Obama’s term.

The new president will not be able to do anything because the military is already sucking wind. All they have to do is detonate one bomb, and they are untouchable if they claim they have other bombs.

Just a thought, because Obama has just publicly said that it’s OK. James Barends

couldn’t believe my ears as I heard Obama in an interview say that the Iranian deal couldn’t be complicated with other items added on to the deal, such as Iran recognizing Israel’s right to exist.

The president has decided apparently that addons that force Iran to do something like that seemingly would impact on its nationalism. What about Israel’s survival?

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went on the offensive over the Easter weekend, asserting the Iran agreement is a bad deal. To date, the United States says one thing about the deal, while Iran is saying something totally different. Whom should the American people believe?

Netanyahu is standing up for Israel and looking for US support, but sadly finds it lacking. For America, it is about signing a deal, but for Israel it is about survival. Survival always trumps politics. Sal Giarratani

Maybe I’m the one who’s confused, but what part of “Death To America” does the president not understand?

Obama’s relying on Iran to keep its promises regarding the nuclear deal he insists on foisting upon the world. Considering Iran has never kept its word, exactly where is this newfound confidence and trust coming from?

I suggest he open his eyes to the real world, not his imaginary version of it. The color of the sky in his world is blue, isn’t it? And it doesn’t have a mushroom cloud in it, right?

The Obama doctrine continues to wreak havoc on America’s influence in the world, along with the security of our allies in the Middle East.

This president makes an absurd deal with Iran and the Iranians deny its key points before the ink is even dry. The Iranian leaders, totally dismissive of our president, openly call for the “destruction of America” and Israel during negotiations.

The leader of Israel, once our closest ally in the Middle East, sees the Iranian terrorist leaders being provided the path to nukes, so he has attempted to warn the American people of the coming disaster. Obama, whose hatred of Israel for the past six years has been just barely disguised, has reacted with anger at Netanyahu’s refusal to support his pathetic Iranian deal.

Obama has almost two more years to govern. His two dominant traits of arrogance and ignorance ensure that the Iranians will dominate the Middle East, Russia will expand its sphere of influence and the world will become ever more chaotic.

American power and influence will recede even more.
