Yanks tab vet Davies for ’ pen aid

- By FRED KERBER

So, your bullpen throws 17 innings in two games over two days, you look for some help and depth. And that’s what the Yankees did Sunday.

The Yankees signed righty Kyle Davies to a major league contract and added him Sunday from Triple-A Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre. Additionally, lefty Matt Tracy was designated for assignment. Davis, who went through spring training with the Yanks, last pitched in the majors in 2011. One claim to fame: He surrendered Alex Rodriguez’s 500th career homer.
