CHIC STYLE
On a March 7 date to hot spot Kappo Masa, Amal made a case for spring color in a marigold Paul & Joe peacoat and a floral- embroidered Giambattista Valli skater dress. Color coordination is always commendable, but the contrasting details are key. Who knew baroque Dolce & Gabbana heart earrings would team so well with a semi-punk Sarah’s Bag “Zipmeup” clutch?
Animal print is typically kept to accessories, but for a March 23 dinner Amal went all out in a Giambattista Valli leopard coat. The success is in the balance: She countered the eye- catching piece with a pair of solid Stella McCartney flares and a simple black Hunting Season clutch.

While leaving the Upper East Side apartment of Tina Brown and Sir Harold Evans on March 27, Amal played modern sophisticate in this sleek Stella McCartney jumpsuit. For an April 3 date night at Babbo Amal looked after- dark divine in a black Giambattista Valli minidress with flutter sleeves paired with pointed- toe pumps by the Italian designer. An LBD of this caliber requires little to no styling, but it doesn’t hurt to elevate it with a pair of killer legs, a swipe of red lipstick and a blowout.
Last week Amal offered the Columbia campus an A- plus lesson in understated, monochromatic elegance. The visiting professor did “professional” in the most stylish way possible, topping a cream top and ivory skirt with a slightly warmer wool Burberry coat. She finished things off with statement accents: floral print Oscar de la Renta pumps and a candy apple “Cape” satchel from Tod’s.
