Another ‘ Hill’ of Lies: Who Can Believe Her?
Hillary Clinton is lying again. It was reported that she distorted her family history at a meeting in Iowa when she said her grandparents were immigrants (“Hillary Fudges the Truth About her ‘ Immigrant’ Grandparents,” April 16).
Clinton said, “All my grandparents, you know, came over here,” but documents show only one of her grandparents immigrated. She has a history of unnecessary lies, like “ducking sniper fire in Bosnia” in 1996, being named after Sir Edmund Hillary, learning how to trade commodities by reading The Wall Street Journal, etc.
How can the electorate trust and be confident in someone who constantly tells needless “whoppers”? Hillary is shameless. Manny Martin

What a ridiculous line of attack on Clinton.
Sen. Marco Rubio’s pretending his parents were Cuban exiles fleeing oppression for Godgiven rights is way worse. His family came here long before Castro, looking for economic opportunity— like any Dominican or Mexican today. Rubio has no more claim to an immigrant background than does Clinton. And his exaggerations actually mean something in Florida. Walter Kitchenman

Boy, is Clinton’s campaign impressive so far.
In just five days, we already know that Hillary likes Scooby Doo and what type of Chipotle burritos she enjoys. She has, however, in her busy campaign schedule managed to do one hardhitting interview with handpicked reporters. Most in the media swooned and gushed at how wonderful Clinton was and that she is ready for the job. She must be, because our ethical, fair and impartial media say so.
I, on the other hand, feel reassured, because if ISIS challenges us to a burrito eating contest, at least we know we’re covered. John Scott

Clinton is a bad fit for the country.
Polls indicate that the American people do not trust the government. President Obama’s trustworthiness is rated low. People seem upset over the secretiveness of our government and by wide margins think we are on the wrong track.
Ifwe are looking for the next president to be open, honest, and trustworthy, Clinton seems like a bad fit. Bill Keegan

If Clinton makes it to the general election as the Democratic presidential nominee, she’ll win easily. The two demographics of minorities and the under30 age group will combine to elect her. Tom Dilberger

Way to go, Michael Goodwin (“‘ Good’ Bill Hunting,” April 15).
The office of president of the United States is not a popularity contest, and should only be awarded to the most qualified candidate, not someone who feels entitled to hold the office due to her name recognition.
As a senator, Clinton accomplished absolutely nothing during her eight years in office followed by another four years as secretary of state, where she flew around the world on the taxpayers’ dime, possibly soliciting donations to the Clinton Foundation, while the Middle East burned and she diminished America’s role in the rest of the world. She is the champion of deception. Hugo Bozzarella

The reason the Left has such a slobbering love affair with Clinton is not because of her. The truth is they think if she is elected, they’re going to get Bill back. They’re going to be disappointed.
Does anyone really think she’ll let Bill anywhere near her Oval Office? There won’t be enough state funerals around the world to pack him off to just to keep him out of her way. Lloyd E. Simonsen
