Lukewarm affair

DO nice girls finish last? With Evan, 28, they don’t seem to win. When he met up with Ebony, 30, at the elegant Meatpacking restaurant Scarpetta, he found her cute and sweet — and that was an issue. Evan prefers women with a bit more spunk, so while they had a nice time and enjoyed each other’s company, it’s unlikely Ebony will get another chance to show him her naughty side.

Hewas Canadian. I have a thing for them, so that made him hotter.”

I didn’t have my heart set on love that night, just a positive experience, and a nice meal with some good company. I got all of those things with Ebony. We didn’t have much in common, but she was easy to talk to.

Scarpetta was wonderful. The staff was friendly, and the food was amazing. We shared the seared scallops for an appetizer, and I had the duck and foie gras ravioli.

Ebony was different from the girls I usually go for. She wasn’t much of a drinker, and I love a good drinker. I also like a bit of sass and sarcasm, both things that she didn’t possess much of. I think she was a little too vanilla for my taste.

Ebony was very sweet and cute, but those aren’t qualities that particularly interest me in a match. That being said, if Ebony is your cup of tea and you ever get the chance to go on a date with her, I highly recommend it.

My first thought was how hot Evan was. Then I learned he was Canadian. I have a thing for them, so that made him even hotter.

We talked about the awesome show “Degrassi: The Next Generation,” which is a popular teen soap opera in Canada. We didn’t agree, however, on horror movies. He’s a fan. I’m not.

Wewere both fans of Scarpetta. I don’t usually go to such fancy places, but I really liked it there. I had the black cod, which was delicious.

At the end of the date, I was kind of surprised that Evan didn’t ask for my number. Sure, there wasn’t really a spark between us, but I thought maybe he’d want to stay in touch at least as friends. Instead, he walked me to the train and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
