‘ Primates’ snared

MGM acquired film rights to Wednesday Martin’s controversial memoir “Primates of Park Avenue” — so start speculating over who will play the Upper East Side characters, suspected to be based on Lisa Maria Falcone and Lisa and Richard Perry, among others. MGM outbid Warner Bros., Netflix and Amazon, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Martin’s tome sparked advanced buzz with revelations of Park Avenue wives who earn annual “wife bonuses.” But such provocative passages also stretched the truth. Simon& Schuster had to add a disclaimer to the “memoir” after a Post report “found holes big enough to drive an Escalade through.” Good thing screenwriters have license to embellish.
