Cigna nixes better bid

Health insurer Cigna rebuffed rival Anthem’s second, sweetened $ 175pershare takeover offer, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday. Anthem’s latest bid put a $ 45 billion value on Cigna, which had a market capitalization of $ 35.34billion as of Friday. Cigna shares jumped 18 percent to a record high of $ 162.16 Monday, before closing at $ 153.50, up11.8 percent.
